The decline of the vitality of forests due to drought combined with insect infestations is a most important problem in Central European forestry at present. As part of the EKOFILM Forest project, interested parties can manually participate in the planting of drought-resistant trees (oaks, wild service trees, etc.) in the forests of Mendel University’s ŠLP Křtiny. Plantings of the species referred to will be carried out in the surroundings of the Karel Morávek educational trail (www.pesinakarlamoravka.cz). The meeting is on Saturday 23 October 2021 at 9.00 am at the Malinová bus stop in Soběšice. Families with children can also come (work clothes and shoes recommended). Plants and tools will be provided by ŠLP Křtiny. The event is expected to end by 1 p.m.
The event will take place with a minimum of 8 reservations. The deadline for reservations is 20.10. at 8 p.m., after which the interested parties will be informed.
