Northern Forests

North of Istanbul new superhighways cuts through formerly protected forests, pastures and farmland. The residents are presented with a fait accompli, their villages turned into city suburbs and all agricultural activities will become illegal. After the completion of the 3rd bridge and the gigantic airport hub, the construction of the Istanbul Canal is about to begin. Facing the anger and disappointment of the residents in countless local grassroots assemblies, the activist group struggles to establish common goals among the people.
