The Universe Under Your Feet

The screening of two loosely connected documentaries about life in the soil Geoderma – the Living Mantle of Planet Earth and Let the Soil Live, which bring the intriguing and invisible world of soil organisms closer, explain their role and importance, and also suggest how to tackle the problems caused by excessive anthropogenic pressure and over-intensive land use.

The films have received awards at several industry film festivals.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with the filmmakers (Ladislav Miko, Ivan Stříteský) on how the invisible world of soil organisms is being filmed, moderated by a film director, screenwriter and moderator Jan E. Svatoš.
