A Look Back at EKOFILM 2025 with Minister Petr Hladík
This year’s EKOFILM left a profound impression on me. Perhaps more than ever, I felt how important it is to have a space where nature can speak to us – where people meet because they care about it, and where nature remains a shared value that connects us all.
In the discussions, I heard the voices of students, scientists, filmmakers and people who simply care about the world our children will inherit. These encounters make sense to me. They show that protecting nature is not merely about bans and regulations – it is about our relationship to the places we live in, to the people around us and to a future that stretches beyond our own lives. The awarded films were a remarkable example of that.
I am glad that EKOFILM continues to be a vibrant festival – growing stronger each year. We must keep developing it further and the memorandum signed with Brno’s universities is an important step forward.
My sincere thanks go to everyone who contributed their time, energy and passion. And once again, congratulations to all the winners. This shared effort has brought a great deal of good.
See you next time,
Petr Hladík
